Our mission is to maintain the infrastructure and design that supports our district technology goals. This mission is grounded in attention to fundamental reform of curriculum, instruction, assessment, professional development, and the organization and management of the school.

Afton Central School is committed to providing opportunities that ensure career and college readiness while meeting the diverse needs of our students and staff. To this end, we utilize technology to support learning-rich classrooms, offer a cohesive and relevant curriculum, and utilize the advantages of networked communication at all levels within the district: student, staff, administration, and community.

Students will be empowered to discover, create, and achieve academic success with tools and skills that the rest of the world will expect them to use. 

Staff are encouraged to access colleagues, resources, PLCs, and professional development opportunities; to exponentially increase awareness of methods, lessons, and opportunities for learning to build upon 21st century learning skills.

Learning resources and opportunities will be available for all.

1) Develop an alignment to the new Computer Science and Digital Learning Standards to ensure digital fluency and gain a greater understanding of 21st century learning skills.
2) Provide targeted supports and interventions for identified subgroups to support student success and academic growth and achievement.
3) Upgrade existing infrastructure and instructional technology in the classroom in order to provide equal and secure access to staff and students.
