Valedictorian Jenna Conklin

Afton Central School is proud to announce that Jenna Conklin, daughter of Shannon and Amanda Conklin, has been named the Valedictorian of the Class of 2025. Jenna has maintained a seven-semester grade point average of 100.091.

Jenna has shown responsibility and determination throughout her time at Afton. She has achieved Superintendent’s List over the past four years and is on track to receive her Associate’s Degree through Tompkins Cortland Community College in May. Jenna is grateful for being able to experience college work and expectations while still in high school due to this Early Degree Program.

In addition to academics, Jenna has spent a great deal of time participating in extracurricular activities. She is a member of National Honor Society, Student Government, Yearbook and has been the class Vice President throughout her high school years. Jenna has always enjoyed helping others and being involved.

Jenna would like to thank her parents, teachers, counselors, and friends for their consistent support and guidance.

Jenna plans to major in Social Work at Binghamton University starting this fall. Her plan is to receive a LMSW and become a School Social Worker. She has a passion for helping teenagers overcome mental health struggles and providing them with the support they need to succeed.

Amber Palladino - Salutatorian

Afton Central School is also proud to announce that Amber Palladino, daughter of Neil and April Palladino, has been named the Salutatorian of the Class of 2025 with a seven-semester grade point average of 98.871%.

Amber has achieved Superintendent’s List throughout all four years of high school and is currently on track to receive her Associate’s Degree in General Studies through Tompkins Cortland Community College. Amber is extremely grateful for having had the opportunity to be a part of the Early Degree program.

Along with Amber’s academics, she has also been involved in many extracurricular activities. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Student Government, Yearbook Club, and the class Treasurer. She also played 7 years of volleyball and many years of basketball and softball.

Amber would like to thank her parents, extended family, and friends for their amazing support and guidance. She would also like to thank her teachers and classmates.

Amber plans to attend SUNY Delhi where she will major in Criminal Justice.
