Summer Strength and Conditioning Camp 2024 “This is the way.” Hello, Afton Crimson Knights, Afton CSD will offer a strength and conditioning camp for the Afton students who are entering 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th,11th, 12th grades, and the graduating class of 2024. The camp will work on improving areas of strength, speed, agility, and endurance/work capacity, power/explosiveness, functionality, injury prevention, accountability, responsibility, and respect. The camp will start on July 8, 2024, and continue to August 16, 2024, from Monday to Friday from 9:00 - 11:00 am. This is a closed camp only for students and student athletes; no spectators will be allowed. We understand that there will be summer travel and events that arise therefore we would like the student to commit to a regiment but understand that there will be times that they will not be able to attend. May 28, 2024 Good day! We are excited to announce the 2024 Harpursville Summer Program’s availability to Afton students! We are working hard to create a program that incorporates both fun and filled with learning! Summer Enrichment Program Who: All Afton Central School students entering K-6th grade in the Fall of 2023 are eligible What: STEM Activities, Wellness (Sports, Swimming, Games, etc.), Art, French (Grades 3-6) Weekly Scavenger Hunts, and more! Dates: Mon-Thurs from July 8th-August 1st. 2024 Times: 7:45 AM (drop off) - 1:45 (departure) for those being transported directly to the Harpursville campus by parents. If you are using the shuttle bus between campuses, the students will need to be at the Afton school by 8:20 for an 8:30 departure and 8:45 Harpursville arrival time with a pick up time at the Afton school at 1:30. We encourage parents to drive their students directly to Harpursville to maximize participation time. Those who are using the shuttle bus will lose 1.5 hours of the program. SHUTTLE TIMES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE AND WILL BE COMMUNICATED TO THE PARENTS BEFORE THE BEGINNING OF THE PROGRAM. Summer Zone for Middle Schoolers Who: All Afton Central School students entering 7th-9th grade in the Fall of 2023 are eligible What:. Activities that include STEM, field trips, physical and emotional well-being activities Dates: Mon-Thurs from July 8th-August 1st. 2024 Times: Same as for the Summer Enrichment Program (students may also do the Fitness Program) - please note on the Google Form Summer Fitness Program Who: All Afton Central School District’s students entering 7th-12th grade in the Fall of 2022 are eligible What: Activities that include both cardiovascular fitness and strength training Dates: Mon-Thurs from July 8th-August 1st. 2024 Times: 7:45 AM (drop off) - 11:00 AM (parent/guardian pick up) - bussing is available only for the Trip TO school. If you are using the shuttle bus between campuses,, the students will need to be at the Afton school by 8:20 for an 8:30 departure and 8:45 Harpursville arrival time.
