Hello, Afton Community! Afton students attended an incentive bowling trip today at @Midwaylanes! All of these students earned a gpa of 87.5 or higher for the second quarter. We are proud of their hard work! The students had a fantastic time!

First grade had fun exploring optical illusions by creating thaumatropes in STEAM class.
Progressive Dental visited our school today and gave a presentation about dental health. They are visiting local schools to celebrate National Children’s Dental Health Month. We want to thank them for their visit; our students had a wonderful time!
JV girls basketball played at home vs Otselic Valley and lost 33 to 23. Kate Baciuska led the Knights with 13 points, 2 for 3 from the line and one three-pointer.
On Friday night, members of the ACS choruses had the opportunity to sing "God Bless America" at the opening of a Binghamton Black Bears game. They gave an excellent performance and represented our school with pride!

The boys varsity basketball team lost 73-59 to Sidney. Carter Burns led the team with 18 points. Ryan Wright added 11 points.
The boys JV basketball team lost 48-26. Bobby Mercilliot had 10 points to lead the team.
Congratulations to our Bright Knights of the Month!
Ms. Loesch's 4th-grade class won the golden trash can by maintaining a clean school environment!

Our next DEI meeting will be Monday, February 13th from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The Boys varsity basketball team lost 92-33 to Delhi. Ryan Wright had 15 points.
The Boys JV basketball lost 79-34. Corey Sager led the team with 17 points.
The JV Girls basketball team played another good defense game but lost away against Greene 27 to 15.
Their next game is Monday home vs Otselic Valley.
On January 28th and 29th, Ms. Reeder led Afton FFA students to the MLS Leadership Conference at the Oncenter in Syracuse.
The FFA Member Leadership Series conference is an opportunity to empower students with new knowledge and skills to be confident and capable leaders.
The Financial Aid Presentation is tonight at 6:00 p.m. in the auditorium. We hope to see you there!
