Congrats to the JV girls basketball team on their 65-17 win against South Kortright in the opening round of the Edmeston Christmas Tournament! Appalonia Bushaw led the Knights in scoring with 25 points. Megan Racine had 13 points and a team-high of 12 rebounds. McKenna Ross also scored 12 points and had 10 rebounds. This was another team win as every girl on the roster scored. The girls will play in the tournament championship on Saturday, 12/28, at 1:30 p.m.!

Mrs. Lucchese and Mrs. Wells hosted a family holiday party in their classrooms. Student enjoyed snacks and crafts with their families ahead of the holiday break.

Congratulations to the JV girls basketball team for their 65 to 19 win at Unadilla Valley on Thursday! Ariana Florance led the team with 16 points. Appalonia Bushaw also added 13 and Misty Bushaw scored 10! Megan Racine led in rebounds (11), assists (6), and blocks (5)! Appalonia Bushaw and Rylee Rupakus had 8 steals apiece. Their next game is the Edmeston Christmas Tourney at Edmeston Central School. Their first round game is on Friday, December 27th, at 1:30 p.m.

Hello, Afton Community!
On Wednesday, we hosted our first Read Across the Kingdom event where middle/high school students and elementary students read to each other throughout the school building. Students had a fantastic time together!

Last night, the BGAH wrestling team was defeated by Unatego/Unadilla Valley 42-32! Several student-athletes were match winners! Colton Hurlburt, Frankie Parsons, Colton Ryan, Blaise Loya, Silas Greenman, and Elliott Briggs!

Our varsity boys basketball team defeated Unadilla Valley 51 to 49! In an outstanding close to the game, Ryan Wright hit two foul shots with seven seconds left to put us up by two for the win! Toni Obeada scored 9 points with 4 rebounds. Pierce Bushaw scored 9 points with 4 rebounds. Dion Bushaw scored 6 points 10 rebounds. Marcus Chavis scored 6 points with 4 rebounds. Great job, Team!

McKenna Ross and Rylee Rupakus also scored in the double digits. Racine led the team with 10 rebounds. This was another great team win. The girls play again Thursday at Unadilla Valley at 7:00 p.m.

In wrestling action, the BGAH Bears defeated Norwich 60-15 last night! Way to go, Team! Our match winners were the following student-athletes: Colton Hurlburt, Frankie Parsons, Colton Ryan, Blaise Loya, Boston Besse, Glen Miller, Zan Mumbulo, Silas Greenman, Devon Rowe, and Elliott Briggs.

The Class of 2030 hosted a holiday babysitting event, and while the turnout was small, it was a big success! One child even left for a party but came back because they were having so much fun! Ms. Wheeler and Mrs. Klee are already planning for next year’s holiday babysitting event! 🎄🎉 #ClassOf2030 #HolidayFun
