Congratulations to Afton seniors Alexandrea Brett, Anna Cable, Meeya Cummings, Brooklyn MacNaught and Rylee Noone on earning their Associates Degrees from Tompkins Cortland Community College! Through a great deal of hard work and persistence, these students were able to earn their college degrees at the same time that they are finishing up their high school diplomas. Great job to all!

The Afton Elementary 5th grade made the trip to Cooperstown to tour the National Baseball Hall of Fame. This came on the heels of finishing the book, Promises to Keep, as a class. This biography was written by Sharon Robinson about her father, baseball legend Jackie Robinson. The tour guides were impressed with the background knowledge the students had in the topics displayed at the hall of fame. If your child is in the fifth grade, be sure to ask them about the trip and congratulate them on their behavior and participation in the activities at the museum! This was followed by a fun lunch at McDonald's. A good time was had by all! A special thanks to Jenn DeYoung, Paul Slivka, Peggy Wagner, Melissa VanVorce, Courtney Tomassetti, Nicki Andrews and Kathy Schneidau for organizing and chaperoning on the trip!
