Afton varsity softball won its third game in a row with a win against Harpursville. We opened the game up in the third inning scoring 6 of their 12 runs. Makenna Schultz went three for three scoring three times. Megan Racine went three for four. Misty Bushaw went three for four with a triple and three RBIs. Catherine Crocker went two for two with an RBI. Zeta Bushaw got the win on the mound with seven strikeouts, six walks and giving up six hits. Great job, Team!

Last night, Afton varsity softball took the win over Walton 17 to 2!
The bats were hot with 17 team hits. Misty Bushaw gave up 4 hits, 1 walk and struck out 3 in the win on the mound. She went 1 for 2 at the plate with a double and three RBIs. Megan Racine went 3 for 3 with 2 RBI's. Alyssa Spathelf went 3 for 4 with 2 RBIs. Avree Wrench went 2 for 2 with an RBI. Emilie Hopkins was 2 for 2 with an RBI and a pair of stolen bases. Kathleen Charette went 2 for 3 with 2 stolen bases. Ariana Florance went 1 for 3 with 2 RBIs.

Afton FFA attended the 99th NYS FFA Convention in Buffalo, NY. Congratulations to Spencer Wrench for receiving his FFA empire degree… the highest honor at state level you can receive for your hard work as a FFA member. Mrs. Reeder was a finalist for 2024 NYS Golden Owl Award. FFA Students participated in a day of service where they created beautiful floral arrangements for a local hospice. They also attended workshops, played convention bingo at the expo, and toured Crag Burn golf course. During the golf course tour, students learned about turf management and the equipment needed to maintain a golf course.

The Afton Varsity baseball team won against Schenevus 8-1 on Saturday. Justin Reeve hit a grand slam and dominated on the mound. We finished our regular season with 12 wins and two losses. We are heading to the MAC this week and preparing for sectionals.
The varsity boys baseball team won in their senior night game against Sidney 9-3 last night! Ryan Wright struck out 18 and hit two trips. Carter Burns earned four RBI's! Great job, Team!
